Job Title : Automation & Operational Technology (OT) Engineer - Medical/pharma
Job type : 6 month contract
Position Summary:
The Automation & OT Engineer will provide hands‑on technical support for site‑based automation and operational technology systems. This role ensures system integrity, reliability, security, and compliance across manufacturing, utilities, quality control, and laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement automated equipment and machinery to replace manual processes.
Develop and execute automated tests to evaluate system integrity and performance.
Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency through automation solutions.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automation and OT systems.
Manage lifecycle activities for automation systems—from design through validation.
Support and maintain key systems, including:
Building Automation Systems (BAS)
Process Control Systems (PCS)
Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES/EBR)
Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
Ensure data integrity, cybersecurity, and compliance with GMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and Annex 11 standards.
Participate in CAPEX/OPEX projects related to automation and OT infrastructure.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, manuals, and change records.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in automation engineering or operational technology support.
Strong understanding of industrial control systems, PLCs, SCADA, and process automation.
Familiarity with GMP and regulatory compliance (21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11).
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles in OT environments.
