Recruiting Manager – Octagon Professional Recruiting
Seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Corporate Accountant to join a explosively growing organization. This role will play a key part in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting month‑end and year‑end close processes. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with strong analytical skills, solid GAAP knowledge, and a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities
Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments in accordance with GAAP.
Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Perform detailed variance analyses on balance sheet and income statement accounts.
Support preparation of financial statements and internal management reports.
Assist with annual audit processes by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
Maintain and improve accounting procedures and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues and ensure proper recording of transactions.
Support special projects including system implementations, process improvements, and ad hoc financial analyses.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of accounting experience in a Big 4 firm or a large, publicly traded company
CPA preferred
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting
Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and advanced Excel skills
