Scheck Hillel Community School, a large Orthodox Jewish community school located in North Miami Beach, Florida, is accepting resumes for an experienced full‑time Judaic Studies Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. The school serves over 1,300 students in PK‑T through 12th grade and is a nationally recognized Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, offering a well‑rounded, rigorous, dual curriculum program that serves the whole child. Summary

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Judaic Studies Teacher to join our educational team. In this role, the teacher will educate students about Jewish history, Jewish text, culture, and religious practices, fostering a deep connection to their heritage. The teacher will create engaging lesson plans that encourage critical thinking, open discussion, and a lifelong love of learning. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in Judaic texts, a role model of Orthodox observant Jewish life, and skilled in creating an inclusive and vibrant classroom environment that celebrates learning and curiosity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Create engaging and dynamic learning environments by preparing innovative course objectives and outlines that align with curriculum guidelines. Deliver lectures, demonstrate concepts, and leverage technology and teaching aids to captivate students. Assess student progress by preparing, administering, and grading assessments, and providing valuable feedback. Encourage students to express ideas confidently and develop their skills. Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere, enforce order, and serve as a trusted mentor for students facing academic or personal challenges. Communicate with parents to keep them informed about their child's growth and achievements. Ensure the safety, security, and cleanliness of the classroom environment and supervise students during school functions such as field trips, shabbatonim, and assemblies. Participate in parent‑teacher conferences, back‑to‑school nights, professional development, and faculty meetings. Lead activities such as Tefila, oversee a club, and manage lunch/bagel breaks. Demonstrate commitment to the School’s mission and philosophy, including providing Orthodox religious education consistent with core beliefs of Judaism and teaching children to embrace Jewish heritage. Serve as a role model of Orthodox observance and Jewish life in personal practice. Qualifications

Passion for educating teens. Excellent classroom management, differentiated instruction, and organization skills. Team player with proficiency in instructional technology. Flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, community‑focused environment. Experience teaching Judaic Studies in an Orthodox environment, and an advanced degree and/or Orthodox Rabbinic Ordination is preferred. Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree, Rabbinic ordination, seminary degree, or equivalent required. Benefits and Compensation
