CT Radiologic Tech PD
role and provide high‑quality CT imaging for patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
Perform CT examinations on patients of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
Carry out all types of CT exams based on established protocols: head, abdomen, pelvis, sinus, neck, chest, and lumbar spine.
Complete contrast‑material questionnaires to identify any history of contrast reaction.
Prep patients, start intravenous lines, and administer contrast for children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
Set up and employ immobilization devices for all patient categories.
Operate the power injector and ensure the correct protocol is selected.
Adjust and set protocols to meet radiologist requests.
Perform special reconstruction and segmentation as needed.
Operate film laser cameras, set up oxygen, and suction services.
Use teleradiology, PACS, and RIS systems.
Schedule patients and distribute pre‑prep instructions.
Assist radiologists with abscess drainage and needle biopsies.
Place service calls and film examinations, producing CDs upon request.
Execute non‑routine views when required.
Maintain current CPR certification.
Execute all daily CT functions independently, without a second technologist when necessary.
Qualifications
High‑school diploma or equivalent.
ARRT (R,CT) registered with the current State of Rhode Island Radiographer License and Diagnostic Computed Tomography License, or ARRT (CT) with the current Rhode Island Diagnostic Computed Tomography License.
Minimum three months experience performing routine diagnostic radiology or CT examinations.
Current CPR certification.
Physical ability to sit for 7+ hours, stand/squat for 1–3 hours, walk 3–7 miles, and lift 10–35 pounds using proper body mechanics; moderate twisting and frequent bending required.
Fine‑motor skill with both hands and wrists, moderate repetition.
Vision requirements: near 20/20, far 20/40, accurate depth perception, and minimal color discrimination.
Auditory ability to hear a whisper at three feet.
Compensation Pay Range: $38.78 – $64.00 per hour.
