Job Summary
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high?resolution surveillance systems. Under general supervision and with intermittent review, this position is responsible for analyzing business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business processing systems. Supports the Depot Repair Process, represents the business unit to define requirements and business cases for technology developments, determines system requirements (program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, system techniques and controls), and performs activities that involve independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for analyzing business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business processing systems utilizing SAP, BI, and Oracle databases.
Define requirements, trends, and business cases for technological developments.
Determine system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls.
Develop appropriate electronic and hard copy reports and records.
Create and update Depot spreadsheets.
Coordinate with Depot Engineering, Logistics, and Administration teams to resolve SAP issues.
Apply investigative skills with the ability to research across varying scenarios and translate findings to management both verbally and through documentation.
Create department operational guidelines and procedures.
Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Observe all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
Maintain a productive and safe working environment in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Other duties as assigned or required.
Job Qualifications Typically requires a bachelors degree in a related field and three or more years of experience as a business process analyst working with computerized management systems, including but not limited to product lifecycle systems. Equivalent experience may substitute for education. Prefer a general knowledge of production and engineering support principles and concepts, and a general understanding of practices, techniques, and standards. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, with special emphasis on Excel. Have experience organizing, planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates. Possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them in an evolving environment while contributing to the development of new processes. Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential, as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
