Travel Cable Technician

We are accepting applications for Travel Technicians to work at various locations across the United States. The position is 100% travel, involving the installation of low voltage wiring and equipment such as IP cameras, wireless access points, routers, switches, and more. Qualified candidates should expect to be on the road anywhere from 2 to 8 months at a time.
We seek a self‑starter who can work well with a partner six days a week. The Travel Technician will be teamed with a partner for the duration of each project and may travel with a colleague if desired.
Responsibilities
Pull and terminate low voltage cable.
Install network equipment within commercial settings.
Follow instructions and code when pulling cable.
Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work.
Ensure all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations.
Install cable support structures such as j‑hooks, cable racks, and inner duct.
Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed cable systems and component devices are operational.
Troubleshoot issues with the cable network.
Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.
Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by the client, their customers, or OSHA.
Qualifications
Experience as a Data Cable Technician.
Available for extensive travel nationwide.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Able to lift and carry 50 pounds or more multiple times per shift.
Ability to work in cramped spaces.
Work hours may be 7 pm–7 am five days a week.
Willingness to travel to Lowell, AR for new‑hire orientation.
Able to operate a scissor lift and work at heights.
Must fill out work orders and manage tools provided by the office.
Abide by PPE requirements: company provides hard hat, vest, and safety glasses; must provide steel‑toed boots.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years.
Benefits
Per‑diem paid $125 a day for food and lodging (or $45 a day for food if lodging is prepaid).
Company vehicle provided while traveling with a partner.
Pay & Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00–$22.00 per hour.
