Description The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. Our talented staff of more than 650+ professionals deliver integrated planning, design, engineering and construction solutions to our clients from our offices throughout Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, West Virginia and Alabama.
Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a Project Accountant! We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, pro-active, has good organizational and time management skills. Prior experience with an Architecture or Engineering firm is preferred. Construction industry candidates will also be considered.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for invoicing in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
Maintenance of contract information, which includes, but is not limited to maintaining accurate files of client and subcontractors agreements. Will work closely with Project Managers & Principals in preparation of project budgets and other pertinent contract information.
Responsible for setup and maintenance of projects in Deltek Vision accounting software.
Works closely with the Project Managers tracking monthly invoices, additional service requests and change orders. This may require visiting other offices on occasion.
Provides assistance to Project Managers and Corporate Leadership in account collections, receivables and payables.
Works closely with clients and subcontractor’s accounting departments.
Other accounting responsibilities may include accounts payable & unit entry.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Ability to work independently and be deadline driven.
Detail-oriented problem solver.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Prefer accounting or finance degree.
At least five (5) years accounting experience, Architecture or Engineering preferred.
Construction or professional service firms experience will be considered.
Proficiency with accounting software packages, Deltek Vision / Vantagepoint preferred, Microsoft Excel and Word.
