Description

The accounting associate will perform various accounting functions in accounts payable, accounts receivable and purchase / sales reconciliation.

Accounts Payable duties:

Manage Purchase Order requests and vendor bills received in ApprovalMax. This involves ensuring that requests and approvals are moving along and are being entered accurately by submitting manager. Ensuring transactions are posted in accounting software.

Timely and accurately match vendor invoices to system purchase orders with special attention to vendor discounts

Research and resolve accounts payable issues by working directly with vendors and managers.

Manage and complete new vendor requests.

Maintain Purchase Information Records and Source Lists for vendors.

Manage price changes and ensure price changes are entered into the accounting software monthly.

Review Goods Received/Invoice Received account weekly for late payments.

Review, modify, and update vendor lists, item lists in all systems.

Accounts Receivable duties:

Daily: retrieve mail daily from mailbox and post customer payments.

Weekly: Create and upload invoice import; conduct past due payment collections.

Review, modify, and update customer lists, item lists in all systems

Purchase / Sales Reconciliation duties:

Complete reconciliation of customer accounts on purchase and sales.

Requirements QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Associates of Science in Accounting

1-3 years of experience in the accounting field

Experience and proficiency in Excel

Proficiency with QuickBooks Online

Must be able to read, write and speak English
