Overview
Humana is advancing its member engagement strategy through intelligent automation and data-driven personalization. As Senior Associate, CRM Marketing Automation, you will be responsible for looking across marketing for opportunities to automate marketing campaigns and processes. This role is central to operationalizing lifecycle strategies, activating personalization frameworks, and ensuring campaign execution is scalable, compliant, and performance-driven.
You’ll work closely with campaign strategists, content creators, analytics partners, data strategists and MarTech architects to translate business goals into automated workflows that deliver timely, relevant, and personalized member experiences.**Key Responsibilities****Marketing Automation Execution*** Partner with marketing agile pods to create automated campaigns and processes across inbound and outbound channels, such as email, SMS, push notifications, and calling channels using enterprise-grade marketing automation platforms.* Develop strategy for multi-step workflows, triggers, and decision logic to support lifecycle journeys, transactional communications, and behavioral targeting.* Leverage dynamic content, personalization tokens, and conditional logic to tailor messaging at scale.**Audience Management & Personalization*** Design and manage audience segmentation strategies using CRM data, behavioral signals, and lifecycle attributes.* Design and activate Humana’s personalization framework, e.g., integrating member preferences, engagement history, etc into campaign logic.* Influence the broader personalization agenda by identifying scalable use cases and collaborating on data enablement.**Performance Optimization & Compliance*** Monitor campaign performance metrics (e.g., deliverability, engagement, conversion) and provide actionable insights to improve targeting, timing, and content relevance.* Ensure all campaigns meet enterprise standards for compliance and internal governance policies.* Maintain rigorous QA processes for campaign builds, testing, and deployment.**Capability Development & Backlog Management*** Manage the marketing automation data backlog, prioritizing enhancements, resolving platform issues, and identifying opportunities for innovation.* Collaborate with marketing technology teams to evaluate new features, troubleshoot technical challenges, and ensure platform health and scalability.**Cross-Functional Collaboration*** Partner with campaign managers, content strategists, and analytics teams to align automation execution with strategic goals and member journey frameworks.* Work with MarTech architects to ensure automation logic is aligned with data infrastructure, tagging standards, and reporting frameworks.* Serve as a subject matter expert on CRM platform capabilities, automation best practices, and campaign orchestration.**Impact**This role enables Humana to deliver personalized, automated communications at scale—enhancing member satisfaction, improving campaign performance, and supporting enterprise growth. By operationalizing lifecycle strategies and driving automation excellence, this role contributes directly to Humana’s mission of delivering meaningful member experiences.**Required Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field* 3+ years of hands-on experience in CRM marketing, campaign automation, or digital marketing* Proficiency with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, Oracle Eloqua) and CRM tools* Strong understanding of audience segmentation, personalization logic, and campaign orchestration* Experience with A/B testing, campaign QA, and performance optimization* Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills**Preferred Qualifications*** Experience in healthcare, insurance, or other regulated industries* Familiarity with customer data platforms (CDPs), journey orchestration tools, and dynamic content frameworks* Experience working in Agile or pod-based marketing environments* Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CAN-SPAM, GDPR) and compliance best practices* Exposure to scripting languages (e.g., AMPscript, JavaScript) or SQL for advanced personalization and data manipulation# **Use your skills to make an impact****Additional Information**To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:* At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested* Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership* Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.* Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.* Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA informationHumana offers a variety of benefits to promote the best health and well-being of our employees and their families.
