As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a shelter location. Your responsibilities include conducting regular patrols, remaining visible to help deter security‑related incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service to all individuals on site. Schedule

Day shift: Mon 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM; Wed 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM; Fri 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM; Sun 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM.

What You’ll Do

Provide customer service to clients by following security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the shelter and its perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and/or incidents. Working environments and conditions may vary by location. Assist visitors and residents as needed, maintaining a professional presence throughout the location. Report and document any unusual activity or incidents according to Allied Universal guidelines. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, residents, visitors, and Allied Universal staff.

Minimum Requirements

Must have at least 1 year of security‑related experience. Must provide proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED). Must be at least 21 years of age. CPR certification is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subjected to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
