About the Role To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join our Lifelong Education & Training (LET) Unit.
Reporting to the Associate Director (LET), the incumbent shall assist in a wide range of administrative and technical duties to ensure efficiency and effectiveness on the unit’s grant management, development and compliance.
This role is offered on a 3-year renewable contract basis, with the prospect of a regular open employment contract thereafter subject to satisfactory job performance during the first 3 years.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with the leadership team to develop and execute a results‑driven strategy to achieve objectives in grant management, communications, and partnerships for training programmes eligible for funding.
Manage multiple terms and conditions for the utilisation of the different grant eligibility models.
Oversee the grant utilisation with attention to the trends and patterns.
Develop and implement compliance frameworks to strengthen the readiness for financial and course‑quality audits by grantors.
Conduct regular audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to the grantor requirements and regulations.
Mentor CET units to develop CET administration‑related processes to ensure strong compliance to grant policies from the different grantors.
Maintain strong stakeholder relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.
Lead and manage a team, provide guidance, support, and mentoring to ensure the team's success.
Identify and assess potential risks in grant utilisation, issues, and dependencies that may impact the performance score card and propose mitigation strategies.
Participate in cross‑team projects to keep abreast of other teams’ key work functions.
Perform other duties, and/or participate in regular and ad‑hoc events/projects, as may be assigned.
Requirements:
At least a good bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a reputable University.
IT savvy and proficient in MS Office applications.
Compliance Certifications (ISO, CISA etc) an added advantage.
Experience & Attributes:
At least 6‑8 years of related working experience with grant‑related functions.
Energetic and skilled people manager, able to lead and rally a team towards achieving common objectives in a fast‑paced, results‑oriented and ambiguous work environment.
Experience in financial audits preferably with grant certificate note audit.
Good verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills with a positive work attitude.
Strong team player who is meticulous, resourceful, resilient and thrives in a fast‑paced, results‑oriented and ambiguous work environment.

Salary structure: 12‑month salary with annual variable bonus subject to performance and University/School’s prevailing remuneration policies.
