SF-based real estate private equity firm with $1B+ AUM is seeking an Assistant Fund Controller (or Accounting Manager) to join their growing team. This individual will assist the Controller with reviewing fund and joint venture reporting and supporting ongoing capital activity across multiple vehicles. They will also work closely with the Director of Finance on acquisition and loan financing matters.
Base Pay Range $150,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

15 properties in the current portfolio with 2 more under contract and 2 completed deals this year

Key Responsibilities
Lead quarterly and annual fund‑level financial reporting and performance tracking
Manage capital activity including capital calls, distributions, loan draws, and investor reporting
Oversee fund administrator and review prepared financial statements
Coordinate audits and ensure GAAP‑compliant reporting
Collaborate cross‑functionally with asset management, acquisitions, and internal accounting teams
Assist with compliance tracking, fund cash management, and LP correspondence
Ideal Candidate
5 years or more of accounting experience in real‑estate private equity, in‑house or fund administration
Manager‑level experience with fund structures, JVs, and performance waterfalls
Experience managing third‑party fund administrators
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Able to work independently and thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
Base salary up to $130k to $175k base + 20% bonus
Hybrid schedule (3‑4 days in‑office in San Francisco)
