Senior Credit Analyst, Utilities & Midstream, US Corporates - Chicago

Lead coverage analyst role at a global rating agency. Collaborative team‑oriented environment. Global presence in over 30 countries. We’ll Count On You To
Perform analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing credit quality of companies in the Utilities and Midstream sectors. Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models. Conduct meetings with industry management teams. Present analysis to internal credit rating committees. Communicate rating rationale to external audiences (institutional investors, sell‑side analysts, media) in meetings, conference calls, releases, and written research reports. Write timely research on topical issues. Evaluate other credits within Corporates and related credit groups. Represent Fitch at panel discussions and conferences. Mentor junior team members. Potential managerial responsibilities. What You Need To Have
3+ years of relevant experience, preferably covering Utilities and Midstream sectors. Capital markets and/or credit analysis experience. Proficiency in Excel and Word. Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Capacity to manage multiple projects with changing priorities. Team‑oriented mindset. What Would Make You Stand Out
Bachelor’s degree (MBA or other advanced degree preferred). CFA/CPA or candidate status. In-depth industry knowledge or keen interest in Utilities and Midstream. Professional background in capital markets and/or credit analysis with solid financial statement skills. Desire for exposure to debt capital markets. Leadership pattern and proactive stakeholder engagement. Why Fitch

Expected base pay rates: $95,000 – $110,000. Additional compensation may include commissions, bonuses, long‑term incentives, and benefits.
