Software Engineering Manager - Image and Data Compression Libraries
Join NVIDIA as a Software Engineering Manager for our Image and Data Compression Libraries. We are looking for a leader who can build and grow high‑performing teams to develop accelerated image and data processing solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
Manage a team of engineers, leading projects that meet internal and external customer needs.
Build and maintain a project roadmap aligned with business goals and customer expectations.
Define project scope, ensure execution and delivery, and sustain a culture of innovation and creativity.
Foster an inclusive environment that promotes collaboration.
What We Need To See
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related, or equivalent experience.
At least five years overall experience, including at least three years in team management and strong leadership skills.
Experience designing and testing large‑scale software; portfolio of past achievements.
Proficiency in C++ and Python.
Excellent communication skills; ability to collaborate across teams and with the open‑source community.
Ways To Stand Out
Experience with image‑processing concepts (geometry transforms, filtering, morphology, color models).
Knowledge of image and data compression formats (JPEG, PNG, ZSTD, ANS, etc.).
Expertise in parallel programming and performance optimization on modern architectures (CUDA, MPI, AVX, etc.).
Track record of leading distributed teams across locations.
Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $200,000 – $322,000 depending on location and experience.
Equity and benefits are also part of the total compensation package.
