Event Marketing Manager Overview The Event Marketing Manager will own the full lifecycle of events in support of the company’s brand, demand generation, and customer / partner engagement goals. This person will plan, execute, and optimize events of many types — proprietary, third‑party, partner‑led — across formats including tradeshows, seminars, roundtables, executive / VIP experiences, virtual, hybrid, and in‑person. They will work cross‑functionally with sales, product, partners, and marketing to elevate brand presence, generate pipeline, and deliver excellent attendee experiences before, during, and after each event.

Key Responsibilities Own the strategy and execution of high‑impact events end‑to‑end, ensuring every pre‑, during‑, and post‑event activity is completed effectively through hands‑on execution, or delegation to your extended virtual team, to ensure flawless delivery and measurable impact.

Develop the event strategy in alignment with overall marketing, demand gen, and sales goals, recommending which events to run based on ROI, audience, messaging, and competitive landscape.

Define objectives and success metrics for each event.

Create event plan slides to communicate highlights and details to the event virtual team, peers, and executives.

Project manage: build project plans, milestones, tasks, owners, delivery dates; surface roadblocks.

Budget planning: create and manage event budgets, ensure cost control, negotiate with vendors, monitor spend vs. budget, reconcile and communicate.

Vendor & partner management: select venues, exhibition booths, vendors, production partners; coordinate logistics for booth design, signage, shipping, A/V, catering, etc.

Stakeholder alignment: work with sales, product, partners, executives, field marketing, brand, corporate marketing, PR/AR, finance, and legal teams.

Pre‑event marketing & promotion: coordinate landing pages, registration, email campaigns, social media, invite/outreach programs, content development, and paid media campaigns.

Executive / VIP management: coordinate executive involvement, select and prep speakers, manage agendas, and engage customers/partners in high‑touch formats.

Partner management: secure strategic partners for event participation, cross‑promotions, co‑sponsorships, joint speaking sessions, and shared booth experiences.

During Event (Execution & Experience)

Oversee on‑site operations: booth setup, signage, staffing, logistics, troubleshooting in real time.

Ensure brand consistency across materials, visuals, messaging, experience flow, and technical support.

Manage attendee experience: lead registration, orientation, networking activations, partner booths, auxiliary events.

Capture content and data: record sessions, videos, photos; collect contacts/leads; gather feedback and surveys; manage lead retrieval systems.

Liaise with stakeholders & vendors to ensure seamless execution.

Execute onsite promotions such as social media, EMOs, cross‑promotions, SDR calldowns.

Provide ongoing updates and daily recaps.

Post‑Event (Follow‑up & Optimization)

Lead follow‑up strategy: create plan for passing leads to sales, nurture campaigns, content on demand, post‑event email sends, and integration with wider marketing campaigns.

Analyze event performance: track KPIs (pipeline, revenue, ROI, attendance, engagement, cost per lead); compare vs. targets; report to stakeholders.

Capture learnings: run debriefs covering what worked, process improvements, cost savings, vendor evaluations, staff and partner feedback.

Repurpose content: webinars, blog posts, social content, videos from events.

Maintain event roadmap: plan upcoming events, align to strategic goals and budget, sign up onsite for the following year’s events with pre‑approved budget.

Other Responsibilities

Assess event contribution to pipeline and revenue goals using data and analytics.

Ensure consistency of brand messaging across all events and channels.

Develop reusable frameworks, templates, playbooks, checklists, and tools to drive efficiency and quality; share learnings with other event managers.

Build relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Stay current with industry trends in events (virtual, hybrid, experiential activations) and recommend innovations.

Use creativity to elevate events each year.

Qualifications Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in event marketing / event planning, preferably in B2B SaaS or cybersecurity.

Demonstrated ability to manage events end‑to‑end.

Strong project management skills: juggling multiple events, prioritizing, meeting deadlines.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable working cross‑functionally.

Strategic and tactical mindset for defining ROI and executing details.

Budget management experience; vendor negotiation.

Data‑driven mindset: defining, tracking, reporting KPIs; using data to optimize.

Experience with event management tools.

Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred:

Prior experience in cybersecurity or a technical domain.

Experience with executive / VIP / white‑glove events.

Experience with partner‑led and channel events.

Ability to travel as needed (often 20‑40%).

Hands‑on skills with event tools (lead retrieval, registration systems, marketing automation, CRM) and familiarity with content creation, booth design, signage, etc.

EOE M/F/Veterans/Disabled The wage range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors in determining your pay. We'll consider your location, experience, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base wage range for this role is $82,000-$144,000. In addition to the base compensation, certain roles are eligible for additional compensation, including an annual bonus or sales incentive based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. Benefits/perks may vary.
