Commissioning Consultant Location:
Based out of Atlanta (extensive weekly travel across the U.S.) Schedule:
Full-time assignment at multiple U.S. project sites
We are seeking an
Electrical Commissioning Consultant
to support project engineers and field staff during commissioning assignments. This position emphasizes inspection, documentation, and reporting while serving as a key link between engineering and field operations.
Key Responsibilities:
System Inspection:
Visually inspect electrical equipment, wiring, and connections to confirm compliance with project drawings and specifications.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of all testing, results, and findings, including punch lists and non-compliance reports.
Commissioning Support:
Follow commissioning protocols to verify system functionality under engineer direction.
Collaboration:
Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and technicians to align testing activities and support project milestones.
Required Qualifications:
Strong documentation, communication, and reporting skills.
Willingness to travel frequently (as often as weekly) across the U.S.
Nice to Have:
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
General knowledge of electrical theory, principles, and safety standards.
Experience with standard testing equipment (multimeters, insulation testers, power analyzers).
Familiarity with relevant building codes and industry standards.
Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
Compensation:
$30–$40/hr + $250/day per diem, all expenses paid
