Overview

Job Title: HR Generalist (Contract to Permanent). Location: Martinez, CA. Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. Base pay range: $28.00/hr - $33.00/hr.

Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offers
  • Oversee employee onboarding and orientation programs
  • Administer employee benefits, leave management, and payroll coordination
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Handle employee relations issues with discretion, providing guidance and conflict resolution
  • Support performance management processes and coordinate training and development initiatives
  • Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for staff inquiries and support organizational needs
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar HR role, preferably in nonprofit or educational settings
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
