* At the direction of the director, assist with upholding the standard and culture of championship expectations of performance.* Develop, demonstrate and teach individualized training programs for athletes based on biomechanical demands, bioenergetic demands, demands from absorption and production of force, improve flexibility, mobility, and elasticity to meet demand of required sport.* Create a physiological environment that produces stress in a similar manner as to which the athlete will be asked to perform in.* Decrease probability of injury with sound scientific programing utilizing resources available.* Conduct evaluations of athlete progress through safe, efficient, valid testing protocols.* Refer student athletes to appropriate department/personal regarding mental health, or harmful behavior activity to help protect the student athlete.* Communicate and motivate effectively with student-athletes to ensure that team members are improving, developing, and progressing as athletes during their collegiate careers.* Utilize evaluation tools to monitor training progress and analyze performances.* Position program to achieve competitive goals as established in conjunction with athletics administration.* Collect and maintain data base of performance variables.* Utilize and enhance technological resources to increase effectiveness of training.* Educate and encourage athletes in areas of sleep hygiene, hydration, and nutrition.* Assist with maintaining fuel station and implementation of pre/post workout nutrition.* Assist with training schedule that allows for equal opportunity to training based off limitations from class, practice and competition.* Maintain effective, proactive, and responsive communication throughout the athletics program, while emphasizing relationships with head coach, sport administrators and support services.* Be a professional representative of the University and a role model for student-athletes, the Department, and the community.* Operate within the rules, regulations, and policies of the University and the Athletics Department.* Operate within the guidelines and requirements established by the University and the Department.* Required documents and related administrative responsibilities must be handled in a thorough, complete, and timely manner.* Promote execution of the Athletic Department’s strategic plan by adhering to its mission and core values and acting upon its goals and strategies.* Within the scope of authority, use university resources wisely, adhere to university and department fiscal procedures and practices, and operate within the budgetary allotment allocated by the University unless prior approval has been given by the athletics administration.* Foster a positive environment that encourages and supports sportsmanship and ensure that public statements are supportive of the University and the Athletics Department.* Assist with oversight of graduate assistants or student interns of sports performance and student internship program.* Communicate with sports staff, athletic training staff, and administrative staff regarding all areas of sports performance.* Assist with maintaining weight room and all equipment utilized for training.* Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology or associated field.* One (1) year of experience in working in a collegiate atmosphere.* Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist or Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified from the National Strength and Conditioning Association or Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association.* First Aid/CPR/AED certification.* General knowledge of biomechanics, exercise physiology, and leadership.* Ability to communicate effectively and maintain effectiveness with high level of demands and expectation.* Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).* Master’s Degree in related field.* One to three (1-3) years experience in working in a collegiate atmosphere.* United States Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach, Reflexive Performance Reset, and/or any professional certification in the field of strength and conditioning or nutrition.* Experience working at a NCAA Division I institution.* Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) or Optional Retirement Plan (ORP)* Voluntary Tax Deferred Account/Deferred Compensation PlanThe Texas A&M University System is one of the largest systems of higher education in the nation, with a statewide network of twelve universities, eight state agencies, a comprehensive health science center, Texas A&M-Fort Worth and Texas A&M-RELLIS.The A&M System is committed to providing an educational and work environment that is conducive to the personal and professional development of each employee.Each member institution provides equal opportunity and access to all students, employees and prospective employees. #J-18808-Ljbffr
