Job Title: Accounting Manager – Construction Industry

Location: Greater Indianapolis Area (Onsite)

Salary: $80,000–$110,000 per year

Employment Type: Direct Hire or Contract-to-Hire

A well-established construction firm with a collaborative and supportive accounting team. The work environment is professional, relaxed, and team-oriented.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee project accounting, including tracking owners and change orders

  • Manage AIA billing processes (prior experience preferred)

  • Perform light Accounts Payable and credit card reconciliations

  • Collaborate with the Controller and accounting staff

  • Mentor and train junior team members as needed

  • Adapt quickly to new accounting software and technology

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting


Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of accounting experience in the construction industry

  • Strong skills in project accounting and AIA billing

  • Proficient with accounting software and Excel

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; fits well with a laid-back, team-oriented group

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Willingness to train and support junior staff

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
