Job Description We are currently seeking a RF Filters Engineer to develop RF filters for use in radios used for mobile network infrastructure from program start to end of life in the field. The ideal candidate is responsible for collaborating with both external filter suppliers and internal Nokia design teams.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

Defining the specification and testing in conjunction with the other radio group

Evaluating technical proposals and providing comparison and summary

Generating an agreed schedule, tracking, and presenting progress – following a quality development process with the supplier

Generating required program documents and conducting design reviews and data reviews at each phase of the program, identifying risks and potential problems

Testing delivered filters in and out of the radio; addressing problems/issues from radio level testing during certification and manufacturing

Working closely with the filter design team and the radio design team

Possibly traveling internationally to suppliers or filter factories

Participating in global conference calls; being present in the office/lab as required

Key Skills And Experience

Good electrical knowledge, especially RF and RF systems

Understanding of filter performance interaction with other radio blocks

Experience with RF testing and RF test equipment

Project management skills – creating schedules, tracking progress, and reporting status

Self‑motivated, able to work independently and within a group

Strong English communication for reports, presentations, and technical writing

Computer skills, well organized; data mining expertise preferred

Test automation experience preferred

BS in Electrical Engineering

It would be nice if you also had:

Previous industrial experience preferred

Previous Nokia co‑op experience

Proven track record in successful product development programs

Personal Attributes

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Technical leadership potential

Good planner and organizer

Adept problem solver

Ability to travel internationally on short notice if needed
