Overview We are currently seeking a RF Filters Engineer to develop RF filters for use in radios used for mobile network infrastructure from program start to end of life in the field. The ideal candidate is responsible for collaborating with both external filter suppliers and internal Nokia design teams.
As part of the team, you will:
Defining the specification and testing in conjunction with the other radio group
Evaluating technical proposals and providing comparison and summary
Generating an agreed schedule and tracking and presenting progress. This requires following a quality development process with the supplier.
Generating required program documents and conducting design reviews and data reviews at each phase of the program. Identifying risks and potential problems
Testing of delivered filters in and out of the radio. Addressing problems/issues from radio level testing during certification and manufacturing
Will need to work closely with the filter design team and the radio design team
May require international travel to the suppliers or the factories of the filters and/or radios
Nokia is a global company so there will be some conference calls that happen early in the morning or late in the evening. This job involves a lot of work with hardware and other team members so will require being present in the office/lab
You have:
Must have good all around electrical knowledge with a strong knowledge of RF and RF systems
Must understand the impact and interaction of the filter performance with the rest of the radio blocks
Must know RF testing and RF test equipment
Must have good project management skills to create schedules, track progress, and provide status reports
Must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and within a group
Good English communication for reports, presentations, and technical writing
Good computer skills and well organized. Having a specialty in data mining is preferred
Test automation experience is preferred
BS in Electrical Engineering
It would be nice if you also had:
Previous industrial experience preferred
Previous Nokia co-op experience. Proven track record - previous involvement in successful product development programs is a definite plus
Personal Attributes:

Adept Problem Solver
Ability to travel internationally on short notice, if needed
