August Robotics is an international startup which builds application‑specific robots
to automate workflows for businesses. The company has offices on three different continents (USA, Germany, China/Hong Kong) and enjoys the support of some of Asia‑Pacific’s most prolific VC investors.
August Robotics aspires to be at the forefront of the coming “robotics revolution” and has several robotic product lines across different sectors of the economy. Our robots serve clients in the exhibition, construction and industrial layout industries, and we are currently growing our team in the USA.
THE ROLE As Strategy and Growth Manager, you will play a critical role in helping
move our USA business forward
through supporting investor relations, developing commercial strategies, structuring and negotiating partnership deals, and leading business development for our Lionel business. Your time will be equally allocated to three responsibility areas:
Strategic partnerships (Lionel)
Developing viable leads for potential strategic partnerships
Leading the stakeholder and relationship management to develop such partnerships
Owning commercial proposals and cost‑benefit analyses
Project managing partnership programs in collaboration with our tech and commercial teams
Co‑developing a U.S. market entry strategy for Lionel in non‑exhibition market segments
Business development and sales (Lionel)
Responding to inbound leads from web inquiries, conferences, and referrals
Executing outbound campaigns, and prospecting high‑value clients with outbound reach‑outs
Conducting in‑person meetings to advance sales opportunities
Generating leads during robot deployments and industry events
Attending exhibition conferences to expand our network and client base
Fundraising strategy and investor management
Maintaining investor tracking lists and coordinating follow‑ups for August Robotics upcoming Series B fund‑raising process
Attending Series B investor meetings and scheduling next steps
Reviewing initial subscription agreements and other Series B legal documents
After Series B is complete, co‑leading (with our CEO) all investor management and compliance activities within August Robotics
Managing Board Meeting logistics, agendas and documentation
Preparing and distributing Board Papers and minutes
Investor updates and handling investor queries
This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in commercial strategy and business development, as well as getting first‑hand experience in a rapidly growing start‑up. The role requires strong proactivity, and an ability to enable others for success through well‑organized systems and processes.
ABOUT YOU What we would like to see in an applicant:
Minimum 1‑2 years of experience at a
management consulting firm
(McKinsey, Bain, BCG, EY, Deloitte, LEK, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, AT Kearney, etc…)
Honors degree from a top‑tier internationally recognized University
Entrepreneurial drive, strategic business acumen, creative spirit and an
ability to think laterally
Ability to
negotiates effectively on behalf of the company
Advanced analytical and creative problem‑solving abilities, including outstanding
Excel & Powerpoint
skills
Proven strengths in data analysis, market research, and competitive analysis
Exceptional presentation, proposal writing and commercial strategy / business case writing skills
An ability to understand and emphasize with the
business needs of potential clients, investors
and other company stakeholders
Meticulously organized with excellent attention to detail
Fluency in written and spoken English
Willingness to relocate to our USA HQ in Las Vegas (preferred), or work remotely out of the San Francisco Bay Area with regular travel to Las Vegas
