Junior Industrial Designer for Studio111

who will support the creation and development of packaging and product solutions that balance brand expression, consumer experience, and manufacturability. This role will work closely with Design Directors, Principals, and senior designers to translate ideas into clear, manufacturable design intent. A strong candidate will demonstrate curiosity, strong foundational skills, and a commitment to learning Studio processes and standards.

Key Accountabilities

Support concept development through research, sketching, CAD modeling, and visualization.

Assist in preparing design presentations, prototypes, and technical drawings.

Translate design direction into accurate CAD or illustrative outputs that communicate design intent.

Contribute to project execution by maintaining organized files, meeting notes, and revision tracking.

Participate in team critiques and Studio initiatives to build design and technical skills.

Actively seek feedback, adapt to direction, and apply learning across projects.

Model Berlin’s “Anything Is Possible” attitude and positively represent Studio One Eleven in all interactions.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

BS/BFA in Industrial Design, Product Design, or Packaging Engineering.

0–2 years’ experience in a corporate design department or design consultancy.

Strong design sketching and visualization ability.

Working knowledge of Sketchbook Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

Familiarity with SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD) and KeyShot for modeling and rendering.

Understanding of basic manufacturing processes and materials for rigid packaging.

Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Working knowledge of MS Office suite.

Ability to travel as needed.

Working Environment Design Studio, Corporate Headquarters currently located at 525 W. Monroe Street with plans to move to the Merchandise Mart in 2026.

Base Pay Range IL Base Pay Range: $60,000 USD - $66,000 USD
