Assistant Site Manager – STW

Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominately in the water industry, who have been awarded a programme of work to deliver non-infrastructure projects for Severn Trent Water. Our client is looking to strengthen their operations team with an Assistant Site Manager for the Severn Trent framework. Based on multiple sites on the Severn Trent Region within the Direct team, you will assist the Site Manager in directing the site team to coordinate the safe management of all operational activities on all projects ensuring HSQE, programme and budget requirements are met. You will report directly to the Site Manager and the responsibilities will include: Responsibilities: Ensure all works are undertaken with due regard to the needs of the local population within the immediate vicinity of the works and the travelling public as a whole Manage, supervise and mentor the site team as appropriate Adopt, maintain and promote cost-conscious management through efficient use of all resources Ensure realistic scheme programmes are prepared, reviewed and updated Ensure method statements and risk assessments are prepared, reviewed, briefed and updated Ensure all records are provided to the CDMC for inclusion within the Health and Safety File in a timely manner Understand and challenge drawings and specifications Support provision of site documentation Co-ordinate site setting out to satisfy contract programme requirements Ensure that effective methods of communication are used in transmitting information to operatives and subcontractors Experience: Recognized Civil Engineering / Site Management Qualifications Previous experience as either an assistant site manager, Site Engineer or a delivery graduate IOSH or Construction Managers Safety Certificate CSCS Site Manager First Aid at Work Package includes: 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays (with an additional 5 days available to buy) Life Assurance, Health Insurance and Private medical Insurance Job Information
