EHS Subject Matter Expert (SME)
The Role
This is a full-time, on-site position for an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) at our manufacturing client's facility in Cambridge, Ohio. You will be a key employee, reporting directly to the EHS Manager and serving as the primary resource for all EHS programs.

Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Leadership: Serve as the go-to expert for interpreting and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
Compliance Management: Lead and manage multi-media environmental compliance programs, including:
Water (e.g., SPCC and storm water plans)
Waste (hazardous and non-hazardous)
Air (internal, respiratory, and external emissions)
Training & Mentoring: Guide, coach, and mentor all site employees on EHS best practices to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.
Audits & Improvement: Lead EHS audits and inspections, develop necessary remediation plans, and spearhead Continuous Improvement initiatives for EHS policies and programs.
Management Support: Partner with the EHS Manager and plant operations leadership to maintain overall direction and successful execution of EHS activities.
Minimum Requirements To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
Education: A Bachelor's Degree.
Experience: Five (5) or more years of EHS experience, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in manufacturing.
Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of multi-media environmental programs.
