Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using a combination of standardized assessments and observational techniques. Design tailored treatment plans that carefully target both short- and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities. Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish integrated care approaches. Provide education to patients and families to facilitate progress beyond clinical sessions. Perform occasional speech therapy evaluations and interventions for inpatients, ensuring consistent care throughout each client's comprehensive treatment experience. Ensure accurate and timely documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in continuing education and collaboration with peers to remain up-to-date with advancements in the field. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State license as a
Speech Language Pathologist . Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be achieved within 30 days of employment. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for all age groups, along with a comprehensive understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams. Ability to tailor therapy techniques to accommodate varying cultural and linguistic needs.
