Meals on Wheels: Shoreline - Volunteer Site Co-Coordinator!

Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service. Put your organizational skills to good use! We are in need of a Volunteer Site Coordinator. This volunteer position requires availability of 3-4 hours weekly, including Thursdays 8:30 am - 11:30 am. In this position, your main responsibility is to coordinate our wonderful volunteers for the delivery of meals, and various office tasks that keep Meals on Wheels humming along on schedule. In a pinch, the Coordinator can fill in for any member of the Meals on Wheels team, including calling clients for their meal orders and delivering meals to clients. Training for this position is provided. We are looking for someone that is available longer term. Qualities sought in Meals on Wheels volunteers: Commitment to the well-being of elders, good communication and people skills, reliability, and good cheer. Requirements: Complete the Meals on Wheels Volunteer Application, consent to a Washington State Patrol background check, the ability to lift 15 pounds, and be age 18 or more.
