About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Financial Strategy to become a pivotal leader in our rapidly growing company. In this crucial role, you will deliver essential financial insights that will support our growth and ensure accountability.
You will be responsible for comprehensive financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across all territories and departments. Providing strategic financial support, developing long-term financial models, and assessing the financial impacts of expansion opportunities will be key components of your duties.
The ideal candidate will have a robust background in finance, with a strong focus on corporate financial planning & analysis (FP&A), investment banking, or corporate development, and a minimum of 3 years of executive-level experience. Experience in the cannabis industry, complex manufacturing, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) is strongly preferred.
A Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field is required, with an MBA being a significant advantage. Candidates should possess at least 10 years of progressive experience in finance, demonstrating a proven track record of leadership in high-pressure situations. Advanced financial modeling and presentation skills, along with strong knowledge of GAAP, are essential.
We are looking for a self-starter with creativity, a commitment to accuracy and precision, and a strong interest in improving the automation of reporting processes. An excellent communicator, both written and verbal, you should be skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously. This role also involves leading, mentoring, and cultivating a high-performing finance and analytics team, so exceptional leadership and team management abilities are required.
