Job Title: Entry-Level Contract Support (ECS)
Location: Remote (CONUS)

Reports To: Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist
Travel Requirement: One-time visit to nearest VA site for fingerprinting, PIV issuance, and GFE pickup
Position Summary Provides cradle-to-grave acquisition support under FAR and VAAR for VA NCO 12. Assists Contracting Officers and Specialists with pre-award and post-award tasks, including market research, document preparation, administrative support, and contract closeout.
Core Responsibilities
Review procurement packages for accuracy and completeness; resolve inconsistencies with stakeholders Draft and prepare contract documents and forms in eCMS; process Purchase Requests (PRs) for award Conduct and assess market research, including trends, sources, and emerging technologies Support post-award administration; monitor QASP activities to verify service quality Reconcile open obligations and UDOs; prepare closeout packets including invoices, receiving reports, final payments, releases, and certificates References: PWS §3; §4.1.3; §4.4; §10; §9.4 Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent At least one year of federal contracting experience within the past five years Demonstrated ability to:
Interpret federal and agency procurement policy Draft and prepare contracting documents Conduct and evaluate market research Support contract closeout and post-award administration Reference: PWS §4.1
