Job Summary

Auburn Youth Programs

is an extension of University Outreach that sponsors and executes over 50 summer programs designed to educate and inspire youth in a variety of academic, athletic, and extracurricular endeavors. Participants have the opportunity to further their education and skills while making new friends and experiencing life at Auburn University!

A successful

Student Marketing Coordinator

will be an Auburn student studying marketing, public relations, communications or another related field. We are looking for a driven, ambitious individual who wants to make a difference by producing high marketing content and pictures that campers and families can enjoy for years to come.

Essential Functions

General Description

Managing all social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram) including feed posts, stories, captions, graphics, photo editing, and responding to DMs and comments.

Create, draft, proofread, and schedule posts for all of our social media channels

Maintain ongoing management of branding on all social media profiles

Strategize and develop content calendars for social media, emails, paid ads, and other digital marketing.

Assist with marketing plans and strategy to meet long and short-term goals.

Review and report analytics.

Create, design, and develop graphics for summer camp promotion and updates for social media.

Design and develop Constant Contact emailing to update on registration times, new camps, deadlines for applications, and camp highlights.

Responsible for photographing camps to create camp photo albums to keep parents up to date on daily activities as well as for marketing purposes throughout the year.

Shooting and editing content on a daily basis throughout the summer

Creating weekly highlight videos, end of summerAYP video and other promotional videos

Prepare and create any other print or digital marketing collateral needed byAYP team throughout the year. (Flyers, half sheets, rack cards, emails, articles, banners, etc.)

Create engaging content/content development including photo, video, writing, editing, and graphics.

Assist with office tasks as needed.

Job Expectations

Experience with social media platform marketing. (Preferably beyond personal use)

Experience related to customer service and communication.

Ability to work in team environment.

Familiarity with basic Microsoft office and Adobe Office processing.

Preferred: Photography, Videography, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Facebook Business Suite.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently enrolled as a student at Auburn University

Have attended Auburn University for at least one year and be in good academic standing

Be able to pass a background check

Have valid driver's license

Able to work 10-20 hours per week, M-F between 7:45am-4:45am fall and spring semesters. (Hours will be built around applicant's class schedule)

Able to work 25-35 hours per week through summer semester.

Available to work at least Spring 2026 & Summer 2026 (role has opportunities to extend into Fall and beyond depending on class schedule)

Preferred Qualifications

Pay Rate

$10.00-$11.00/hour

Work Hours

up to 20 (additional hours available during summer semester) One meal/day provided while working when summer camps are in session.
