Job Description
Project Accountant Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for assigned projects. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Monitor project budgets and analyze variances to ensure financial goals are met. Collaborate with project managers to provide financial insights and support decision-making. Prepare and present financial reports to internal and external stakeholders. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes. Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. The Successful Applicant
A successful Project Accountant should have:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of construction accounting experience Experience within a general contractor Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and accounting software. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Able to work independently and in a team environment. What's on Offer
