Location: Phoenix, AZ
An established aerospace manufacturing company is seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist for a full-time, direct hire position on 2nd shift. This company specializes in the production of precision components for aerospace engines and offers long-term career growth in a clean, team-oriented facility.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Pay Range:
$28.00 - $34.00/hour + 2nd shift differential (based on experience)
Position Overview:
The CNC Mill Machinist is responsible for the setup and operation of multiple CNC milling machines to manufacture complex parts to aerospace specifications. This role involves working independently and collaboratively with other machinists to troubleshoot issues and maintain daily production goals. Candidates must demonstrate technical expertise and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC milling machines according to specifications Interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical documents Perform first article and in-process inspections using appropriate measurement tools Collaborate with leads and engineering support to resolve technical challenges Provide shift-to-shift communication to ensure a smooth transition Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used Support and comply with company policies, procedures, and safety standards Assist in training new or less experienced machinists as needed Other duties as assigned by supervisor Required Skills & Experience:
3-5 years of CNC milling experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace strongly preferred) Proficiency with GD&T, blueprint reading, and standard inspection practices Ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.) Familiarity with machining aluminum, stainless steel, and exotic alloys Strong math and mechanical aptitude Capable of working independently and meeting production goals with minimal supervision Effective communication skills - both written and verbal Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred Benefits:
