We are seeking an Advanced Concepts Simulation Engineer to join our team. The objective of a Simulation Engineer at Wisk is to assess the viability of future vehicle concepts. This role, situated within the R&D team, is crucial for ensuring Wisk possesses the requisite technology to achieve its objectives.

Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Mountain View Headquarters office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing simulation tools to assess new vehicle concepts, formulating recommendations, providing support to development and test teams, and assisting business development initiatives.

What you will do:

You will communicate your results with the R&D team, company leadership, technical, and business development teams. Effective communication of your findings will be crucial. As an integral part of the R&D organization, you will be responsible for analyzing novel aircraft and technologies currently under development at Wisk. Your contributions will directly support the development of prototype aircraft and systems, evaluating their potential for future products. You will play a key role in the design of new systems by assessing potential vehicles and system architectures. Additionally, you will assist the test team by integrating simulations with test rigs and reviewing test results. You will also support the business development team through the estimation of performance, cost, and viability of new products. Furthermore, you will contribute to problem-solving activities by leveraging simulation to accelerate the development of physical systems. Requirements

Passion for aircraft design. Familiarity with aircraft sizing, and multidisciplinary tools. Ability to tailor analysis fidelity to the specific question. B.S. in aerospace engineering with 2+ years developing simulations of complex integrated systems. Proficiency in Python, MATLAB Simulink, and development tools like Git. Comfortable with hands-on work to support test development as required. Nice to haves:

Experience performing fault and hazard analysis Exposure to test and simulation data analysis and visualization Previous time spent using Google Cloud Service. Prior experience in lithium-ion battery energy modeling and thermal simulations Understanding of flight control and/or powertrain control systems

Compensation and Benefits:

Job Type: Full-time

Pay range the company expects to pay: $141,000 - $166,000 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
