General Description:

The Manager of Housing and Supportive Services will provide direct supervision to the housing and supportive services team, including Housing Case Managers, Lead Housing Case Manager, Housing Support Navigators, Peer Support Specialist, Employment Support Navigator, Benefits Support Navigator, Youth Housing Case Manager, and Case Coordinators.

In addition, the Manager of Housing and Supportive Services helps to manage the entire emergency shelter program under the direction of the Program Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide direct supervision to the housing and supportive services team, including Housing Case Managers, Lead Housing Case Manager, Housing Support Navigators, Peer Support Specialist, Employment Support Navigator, Benefits Support Navigator, Youth Housing Case Manager, and Case Coordinators. Assign all clients a case manager within one week of entry into the shelter. Provide person-centered case management guidance and support to housing and supportive services team who are working with clients that may have multiple barriers to housing; this includes providing oversight of the Individual Housing Plans (IHPs) and reviewing clients' goals to assist with resolving housing barriers and quickly accessing housing. Reviewing Acuity Scale and VI-SPDAT assessments to ensure staff understanding and accuracy of using the tool and provide additional training and technical assistance to staff as needed. Responsible for ensuing staff training is complete, and conduct performance evaluations, hiring, and terminations of direct report staff. Meet weekly with all direct reports to ensure quality services are being provided and documentation is occurring as required. Consult with Program Director on housing and supportive services, administrative, and programmatic issues. Serves as a member of the leadership team of the shelter and participate in regular team and staff meetings. Coordinate and facilitate team meetings as well as larger staffing meetings with the HHS Contract Monitor. Represent program at Montgomery County service provider meetings and other community meetings as needed. Responsible for all case management file compliance, including in-house files, HMIS entries and Apricot 360. Ensure proper storage of all sensitive client information and adherence with HIPAA guidelines on confidentiality. Responsible for general HMIS data entry and reporting, as well as other data collection and reporting for funders and general MCCH usage. Facilitate regular internal audits along with regular County and State monitoring for compliance. Participate in the on-call rotation for emergencies. Assist in the implementation of daytime programming and bed management. Work with other county providers to expand resources for clients and coordinate services that remove housing barriers and help clients move quickly into housing. Fill in for Program Director in their absence, as well as share overall leadership responsibilities. Other duties assigned. Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Master's degree in a human services field ( will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience) Minimum five years of supervisory experience overseeing a case management team and advanced experience with individualized case management services. Minimum five years' experience with special needs population, including with people experiencing homelessness or other vulnerable populations. Knowledge of principles, methods and procedures of person-centered case management. Knowledge of principles, methods and procedures in working with addiction, mental illness and co-occurring diagnosed populations. Knowledge of Best Practices including Housing First, Harm-Reduction, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma Informed Care along with their methods of service delivery. Ability to negotiate and maintain positive relationships with co-workers and clients. Ability to manage and maintain fiscal accountability and HIPAA Compliance. Ability to lead a team to meet contract deliverables. Ability to comprehend and follow guidelines of grants and contract agreements. Advanced knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software. Advocate for homeless population.

Salary Description

$70,000 - $73,000 per year
