Position Summary

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties to support the financial operations of the organization. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintains financial records, and assists in the preparation of reports and reconciliations. The Accounting Specialist works closely with internal departments to ensure compliance with company policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Accounting Tasks:

Enters and applies payments into the accounting system as well as miscellaneous receipts and bank transfers. Partners with accountants and other departments to resolve deposit questions. Reconcile bank accounts on a weekly and monthly basis. Creates, uploads, and posts journal entries for various business units into the accounting system. Reviews general ledger activity for proper classification of expenses. Prepares month-end ledger reconciliations and proactively consults with accountants regarding issues or questions. Prepares cash basis financial statements and proactively consults with accountants regarding issues or questions. Assists with review of cash budgets. Uploads approved cash budgets. Maintains detailed task-level accounting procedures for assigned tasks. Performs other duties as assigned.

Relationship Management:

Consistently provides prompt and courteous service. Performs job responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies. Actively cooperates with internal service delivery partners to provide optimal service to customers.

Requirements Associate degree in accounting required or equivalent experience will be considered. Minimum- three years' general accounting experience is required. Proficient with software systems including Microsoft Office Suite, Word, and Excel Maintains regular and reliable attendance in alignment with company standards and scheduling expectations. Must remain alert at all times to perform essential functions. Success Factors

Timberline, Vantaca experience is a plus Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy. Ability to meet deadlines and meet multiple demands on limited time. Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
