Ultipro Payroll Manager - USA

Position Overview:
Spencer Thomas Group (STG) is currently looking to add to our team of consultants, seeking a payroll manager on Ultipro.
Responsibilities:
Process U.S. bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule. Ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality when handling employee data. Process prior-quarter wage and tax adjustments. Apply company payroll policies and procedures consistently each payroll cycle. Support year-end processing to ensure W-2 accuracy. Maintain payroll records in compliance with audit requirements. Update desktop procedures. Run ad hoc payroll reports as requested. Assist with special payroll projects and system updates as assigned.
Required Qualification(s):
BS degree or equivalent payroll experience. 7+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state processing. Extensive payroll compliance and employment tax background. Strong attention to detail. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. RSU/stock payroll processing experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. UKG Pro payroll experience.
Preferred Qualification(s):
Experience with payrolls larger than 15,000 employees. Payroll accounting experience, including journal entries. Familiarity with SAP (S/4 HANA) and BlackLine. Familiarity with UKG's UTA and/or WFM (formerly Workforce Dimensions). Experience in process optimization. Knowledge of RPA, preferably Automation Anywhere. Ability to build Cognos reports. Experience with UKG Pro Backoffice. Dayforce Canada payroll experience. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation. Garnishment administration knowledge.
Duration:
This is a project-based consulting opportunity with a start date of early October 2025 with an initial duration through October 2026 ,
with the possibility of extending.
