Job Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients of all ages, utilizing both standardized and observational assessment methods. Design tailored therapeutic programs focused on immediate and long-term goals related to communication, cognition, and swallowing. Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions geared toward enhancing communication skills - encompassing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities. Work collaboratively with occupational and physical therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to build integrated care plans that promote recovery. Educate patients and their families to foster continued progress outside of therapy sessions. Engage in inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions as necessary, ensuring seamless patient care during their recovery journey. Maintain comprehensive and precise documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development and peer interactions. Qualifications

A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for those who are not yet ASHA-certified. Licensing and Certifications

Active state licensure as a

Speech Language Pathologist . Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days post-employment. Essential Skills

Expertise in evidence-supported therapeutic approaches suitable for all age demographics, with profound knowledge of acquired and developmental speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding oral and written communication skills when dealing with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Ability to adjust therapy strategies to accommodate varying cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical judgment paired with effective problem-solving capabilities.
