Established in 1970, Boley Centers, Inc., is a private, non-profit organization serving individuals with mental disabilities, individuals and families who are homeless, Veterans and youth in Pinellas County.

JOB SUMMARY:

Boley Centers, Inc., a nationally recognized and accredited behavioral health care agency, has an opening for a Homeless Outreach Team Leader position in our Homeless Services Department. The primary functions include engagement and outreach to the homeless population, identification of needs, assessment of appropriateness for homeless programs and services, as well as coordination and linkage of individuals to identified programs and services.

Education/Licensure:

Bachelor's degree in human services or related field required, master's degree preferred. No substitution permitted. Education must be from an accredited school, college, or university.

Experience:

Three to four years relevant experience in human services with some experience working with mentally ill adults, dual diagnosis, homeless preferred.

Knowledge:

Knowledge of trauma, severe persistent mental illnesses, counseling techniques, behavior modification, medications, substance abuse, rehabilitation and treatment for the homeless population required

Skills & Abilities:

Good skills and demonstrated abilities in communication - verbal and written, interpersonal relations, teaching/instructing, counseling, coaching, training, basic math and language, record keeping, evaluating, organizing work - own and others, planning, decision making, problem solving, negotiating, adapting to change, crisis intervention techniques- verbal/physical, coordination, cooperation, follow through, attention-to-detail, public relations and such others that are usually and customarily considered necessary for satisfactory completion of essential duties.

Special Requirements:

Valid Florida driver's license, insurance and own transportation required.
