Position Title: Accounting Specialist, Accounts Payable

Compensation Range: $58,000-70,000 USD annual (based on experience)

The Opportunity

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing and processing invoices, resolving discrepancies, ensuring timely payments, vendor management, month end accruals and maintaining accurate financial records within our organization. This role will work closely with our procurement and receiving departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices. This role will assist with accounts receivable aging collections, invoicing and posting payments as needed.

Responsibilities

Maintaining vendor master files and relations. Submit tax exemption certificates, W-9 requests and review vendors for 1099 filing requirements.

Accounts payable invoice processing. 3-way match between PO, receiving documents and invoices. Obtain invoice approvals, track and resolve any discrepancies.

Track vendor rebate accruals.

Process weekly check payments and ACH payment submissions.

Monitor shared inboxes for invoices that are not entered.

Work with procurement team on identifying opportunities to leverage AGI buying power.

Assist with customer invoicing and accounts receivable functions as needed

Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow-up with customers as needed.

Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing data to identify trends and recommend solutions.

Develop measures to ensure timely processing.

Assist with internal and external audit support requests.

All other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

An Associates Degree in Accounting or Business Administration is desired. Comparable work experience will be considered in lieu of education.

3 years of experience in similar field.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint at an intermediate level. Adobe Pro is an asset.

Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or Oracle Fusion experience a plus
