The Role The Manager, Strategic Partnerships advances Pratham USA’s mission by growing, managing, and stewarding a portfolio of individual donors and prospects with the capacity to contribute $25,000 or more annually. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Partnerships, the Manager, Strategic Partnerships will design and execute moves-management strategies, craft compelling proposals in collaboration with Philanthropy Operations, and partner with chapter leaders and regional fundraisers to meet shared revenue goals. This role is ideal for a strategic, relationship-driven fundraiser who thrives on building authentic partnerships and translating impact into investment. Impact Areas Portfolio Growth & Strategy Build and manage a qualified portfolio of major gift prospects and donors contributing $25,000 or more. Create individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans; maintain disciplined moves-management and regular pipeline reviews. Advance toward annual goals for revenue, solicitations, meetings, and outreach, with targets established collaboratively with the Director of Strategic Partnerships. Identify, qualify, and prioritize new prospects through research, networks, events, and chapter referrals. Donor Engagement & Solicitation Conduct discovery, cultivation, and solicitation meetings to align donor interests with Pratham’s priorities. Prepare tailored cases for support, proposals, presentations, and impact reports in partnership with Philanthropy Operations, Programs, and Communications. Lead or support closing strategies for renewals, upgrades, multi-year commitments, and planned giving inquiries in partnership with senior staff. Stewardship & Reporting Deliver high-touch stewardship, including customized updates, recognition, and impact reporting aligned to donor intent. Maintain accurate CRM (Salesforce) records: contact reports, proposal stages, forecasts, revenue tracking, and next steps. Monitor and communicate portfolio progress, risks, and opportunities; contribute to quarterly and annual planning. Cross-Functional & Chapter Collaboration Partner with regional development teams and chapter leaders to coordinate outreach, events, and donor experiences. Collaborate with Programs to translate budgets and learning outcomes into donor-facing materials. Share best practices and insights to enhance a learning culture within the development team. Support corporate engagement alongside the Director of Strategic Partnerships as needed (e.g., introductions, event hosting, matching gifts). Requirements Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications a plus. 4–7 years of progressive fundraising, business development, or client relationship management experience; demonstrated success in securing five- and six-figure gifts. Strong storytelling and communication skills—written and verbal—with the ability to present complex programmatic work clearly and persuasively. Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), MS Office/Google Workspace, and budget interpretation. Organized and self-directed, with excellent project management and follow-through in a fast-paced, distributed environment.
