WilkinGuttenplan is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team as a Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) Senior. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering exceptional financial insight and support to our clients. We offer flexible work arrangements - choose from hybrid, fully remote, or in-office options at our New Jersey location.
Description
Coordinate service activities and help oversee staff accountants. Oversee the day-to-day accounting services to clients. Overview and direct interaction with general ledger postings. Accounts payable oversight including cash management and bill payment. Employee expense reimbursement oversight. Payroll processing review and collaboration with clients. Assist with the preparation and review the month end close process. Detail review of reconciliations for balance sheet accounts. Analyze the balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow statements. Ensure books are maintained in compliance with individual client expectations, GAAP, income tax cash basis, Income tax accrual basis, or other comprehensive basis of accounting. Assist with consolidations and foreign currency translations. Assist in the preparation and/or review of monthly financial reporting including dashboards, KPIs, and narratives. Assist with QuickBooks Online implementations and client onboarding. Assist the FP&A team with budgeting and forecasting. Maintain ongoing relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact for day-to-day communication, coordination, and support. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. CPA license or actively working towards obtaining a CPA license preferred but not required. 3+ years of recent work experience as an accountant in a Client Accounting Department (CAS), or experience working in an outsourced accounting or CFO firm. Experience with QuickBooks Online required. Experience with Bill.com & Jirav (FP&A software) preferred but not required. Experience in the following industries preferred by not required - Technology and SaaS, Professional Services, Real Estate, Family Office, Life Sciences. Proficient in Excel. Able to function in a team setting and collaborate with others. Strong organizational and communication skills. Benefits
