Position Summary We are seeking a skilled
Calibration Technician
to support the maintenance and accuracy of test and measurement equipment used in the production and testing of medical devices. This role ensures all instruments meet calibration standards to maintain compliance, reliability, and quality within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Calibrate, test, adjust, and maintain a variety of electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments. Set up and execute calibration sequences, methods, and procedures based on specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings. Inspect, troubleshoot, disassemble, clean, and repair or replace defective components in instruments such as gauges, tension meters, and signal generators. Maintain detailed calibration records in accordance with quality management and regulatory requirements. Verify calibration accuracy using standards and reference materials traceable to NIST or other applicable sources. Support internal audits, equipment reviews, and process improvements related to measurement systems. Monitor and verify quality through statistical process control and other established procedures.
Qualifications
Education:
Associate degree in Electronics, Metrology, or related technical field preferred (or equivalent experience - High School Diploma is required) Experience:
2-5+ years of calibration or metrology experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, or medical device environment. Strong understanding of calibration standards, precision measurement tools, and documentation practices. Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and GMP requirements is a plus. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently in a regulated environment.
