Position: Sr. Interface Analyst
Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid)
Duration: Long Term Renewable Contract
Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week
Overview: Client is seeking to hire a Senior Interface Analyst to join the collaborative Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) team. The Senior Interface Analyst should possess experience working on large-scale integration projects and a strong understanding of Medicaid and/or health insurance business processes. This role manages the day-to-day interface operations and technical requirements of the MMIS system, supporting ongoing data research and analysis efforts. The key responsibilities include planning, developing, and executing interface implementation and data migration activities.
The Senior Interface Analyst will actively participate in MMIS internal projects, contribute to security and privacy standards, and support improvements to the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Candidates with prior experience in Medicaid systems will be given preference. The Senior Interface Analyst will be called upon to act as an active member in all phases of the project including gap analysis, requirements gathering, design and development activities, documentation, testing, implementation, and stabilization. The Senior Interface Analyst is expected to work independently and collaboratively with technical teams and business stakeholders; therefore, exceptional communication, coordination, and documentation skills are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities include collaborating with business teams, partners, and vendors to gather and validate interface requirements; designing interface solutions in coordination with Functional Client and partners; defining interface specifications and record layouts for the development team; reviewing detailed specifications for web services; modifying existing layouts; coordinating integration testing and deployments; researching and analyzing application interface and data issues; performing data analysis on inbound and outbound file transfers; supporting data extraction and exchange with external source systems; testing and approving data conversion for new projects; supporting maintenance and enhancements of existing interfaces; assisting in resolving issues between business users, interface partners, and development staff; and coordinating with infrastructure teams for approvals and changes related to interface operations.
Preferred qualifications include 8+ years of IT experience with strong interface and data analysis experience, technical knowledge of IT infrastructure and hosting environments, strong understanding of interface design and data structures, knowledge of SOAP Web Services, XML, and data exchange, experience with file exchange mechanisms and protocols like SFTP, experience developing requirement documents and technical specifications, proficiency with SQL, experience with testing tools like SoapUI, understanding of encryption and Unix/Linux environments, and strong health insurance business knowledge. A bachelor's degree or higher in Business, IT, or Healthcare Administration, or equivalent work experience, is required.
