About Our Client
This company is a well-established manufacturer that manufactures products for the HVAC and hydronics industry. They design and build high-efficiency heating solutions for commercial and residential applications across North America.
Job Description
In this role you will report directly to the Engineering Supervisor and be responsible for:
Developing and integrating mechanical subsystems (control valves, pumps, sensors, ignition systems) and architect heating system control logic, including combustion and safety systems. Collaborating with mechanical, electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless system integration. Building and testing prototypes for new features and components. Creating test plans and procedures to validate performance, safety, and regulatory compliance (ASME, UL, CSA). Preparing technical documentation including schematics, P&IDs, control logic flowcharts, and test reports. Ensuring designs meet industry codes, efficiency standards, and environmental regulations. Supporting the enhancement of existing boiler platforms through cost reduction, reliability improvements, and energy efficiency initiatives. The Successful Applicant
A successful candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 5-8 years of relevant experience in HVAC, thermal systems, or industrial equipment Experience with combustion systems, gas flow regulation, or boiler certification processes Proficient with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) Knowledge of safety standards and codes Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Able to meet physical requirements, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs What's on Offer
