Our client is seeking a skilled
Data Scientist
to transform complex data into actionable insights that drive smarter business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in statistics, programming, and data modeling, as well as the curiosity and creativity to uncover patterns that inform strategy and innovation. This role is perfect for someone who loves turning raw data into meaningful stories that influence company success. This is a hybrid role based in Dutchess County, NY.
Starting at $70,000/year.
Data Scientist's Responsibilities and Duties:
Gather, clean, and structure large datasets from multiple sources for analysis and reporting Explore data through statistical methods to identify trends, anomalies, and business opportunities Build, validate, and deploy predictive and machine learning models to support key initiatives Design clear, engaging data visualizations and dashboards for stakeholders across the organization Partner with teams in operations, engineering, and strategy to define analytical goals and deliver impactful insights Document methodologies, data pipelines, and model performance for consistency and future scalability Data Scientist's Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, with experience using libraries for data analysis and visualization Familiarity with SQL and data manipulation in relational databases Solid understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning fundamentals Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to explain technical results to non-technical audiences Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a quantitative field 3+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, or a similar role Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and big data tools (Spark, Hadoop, etc.) Proven track record of developing and deploying machine learning solutions in a production environment Experience working with data visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau
