Our client is seeking a
Quantitative Research Analyst
to drive innovative research and modeling efforts across risk, pricing, and portfolio analytics. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, balancing rigorous analysis with practical application in production systems. This is a hybrid position based in New York City, NY.
Starting at $200,000/year.
Quantitative Research Analyst's Responsibilities and Duties:
Conduct quantitative research across risk, pricing, and portfolio analytics. Prototype, test, and integrate new quantitative methodologies into production systems. Collaborate with technology and risk teams to ensure efficient and robust model implementation. Manipulate, clean, and analyze large datasets to generate actionable insights. Develop research tools, dashboards, and visualization capabilities to support decision-making. Contribute to process automation and scalable analytical solutions. Quantitative Research Analyst's Qualifications and Skills:
At least 2 years of experience in quantitative research, risk modeling, or financial engineering. Advanced degree in Financial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Strong programming skills in Python and SQL; experience with C# or similar languages is a plus. Solid understanding of financial instruments (bonds, derivatives, options, etc.) and quantitative finance concepts. Familiarity with data analysis libraries (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy) and version control systems (Git). Strong communication and collaboration skills across research, technology, and risk teams.
