Role Overview

The Construction Electrical Engineer III plays a critical role in supporting the

construction and commissioning activities

of

Power Generation projects , including

Simple Cycle (SC) ,

Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) , and

Combined Heat and Power (CCHP)

systems in both

Multi-Shaft

and

Single-Shaft

configurations.

Reporting to the

Senior Technical Support Engineer

within the Project Support Management Group, this position coordinates with

Engineering ,

Technical Field Advisors (TFAs) ,

Vendors ,

Suppliers (internal and external) , and

Contractors

at the project site.

The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of

construction, commissioning, and start-up processes , along with a certified field engineering background in electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities • Demonstrate a high level of independence and responsibility in managing complex construction and commissioning tasks. • Travel to domestic and international project sites up to 20% annually as required. • Evaluate and apply engineering methods and techniques to develop electrical installation and commissioning procedures. • Implement standard engineering criteria and exercise independent judgment with moderate supervision. • Review and analyze electrical engineering designs, including: Single-line, schematic, and connection diagrams Protection schemes Equipment tree line diagrams Load lists and related documents • Evaluate AC/DC system designs and develop standard installation and commissioning procedures for power plant equipment. • Possess strong technical knowledge of main power plant electrical components, including:

Power and distribution transformers Control and current transformers Generators and Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVR) Static frequency converters, generator protection panels, and auxiliary equipment • Maintain a deep understanding of gas turbine control systems, speed governors, instrumentation loops, and auxiliary turbine equipment-critical for successful project execution. • Ensure electrical system designs comply with all applicable

installation codes, regulations, and standards . • Coordinate technical support for field engineers, including material and equipment specifications, and review

Project Action Requests (PARs) . • Apply and interpret codes, standards, and customer design requirements to prepare

electrical erection and commissioning procedures ,

specifications , and

system descriptions . • Conduct document reviews and design verifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of deliverables. Manage time effectively to meet deadlines. • Foster a collaborative work environment built on

trust, communication, innovation, and teamwork . • Coordinate with Mitsubishi site teams, suppliers, quality teams, and contractors to ensure proper installation and commissioning of electrical systems.

Requirements

Education & Experience • Bachelor's degree (BS) in

Electrical Engineering

or

Engineering technology . • 7-10 years of related experience in power generation or electrical field engineering. • Experience with project scheduling software such as

Primavera P6

or similar preferred. • Knowledge of

ISO procedures

and

OSHA safety requirements

is an asset.
