Lundberg Family Farms is seeking a Buyer/Planner for our Supply Chain team. As a Buyer-Planner you will ensure the required materials, equipment, and co-manufactured items are available to meet our production and customer needs. This role will work with our Sr. Buyer-Planner managing purchasing, materials planning, and vendor relationships while optimizing supply costs and maintaining accurate inventory through effective use of MRP and ERP systems.
What You'll Do: Source and purchase raw materials, equipment, and co-manufactured items that meet requirements for cost, quality, quantity, and delivery timelines. Convert MRP data into accurate purchase orders and ensure all order details-delivery date, quantity, and pricing-are maintained in the ERP system. Maintain optimal inventory and safety stock levels based on lead times and demand variability. Expedite materials when needed to maintain continuous production flow and meet customer expectations. Partner with finance, warehouse, and production teams to resolve supply or purchase order issues. Identify and implement cost savings, process improvements, and material efficiency initiatives. Monitor and communicate about potential shortages, providing timely mitigation plans to stakeholders. This is a hybrid role requiring three days in office (Tues - Thurs) and two remote days (Mon & Fri) each week. Residing within convenient distance of the office is required .
Requirements
3-6 years of supply chain experience in procurement, planning, or scheduling-preferably in food manufacturing. Bachelor's degree in Business or related field. Proficiency with MRP/MPS, ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred), and advanced Excel skills. Strong understanding of inventory management, Bills of Material, and purchasing practices. Experience with co-manufactured products and vendors a plus. ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification preferred. Professional, detail-oriented approach and ability to manage confidential information effectively.
