We are a tax firm located in the Financial District of NYC. We focus in the areas of: full service tax compliance and planning; bookkeeping; and tax resolution.
We are looking for a CPA, or an E.A., to be our Tax Preparer/Reviewer. Your Responsibilities will include:
Supervise the preparation and review of Federal and related State individual, business [1065, 1120, and 1120S], and sales tax returns.
Be familiar with and able to review quarterly and annual payroll tax returns and forms.
Review and correct quarterly client bookkeeping records, and able to recommend year-end adjusting entries.
Keeping Supervisors abreast of your work flow and status of client cases assigned to you.
Must have experience supervising tax preparation staff and reviewing their work.
Qualities and Attributes that you must possess:

Must be a licensed CPA or EA. **
Must have a PTIN.
Having a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, is a Plus
Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Must be familiar with QuickBooks, and tax software preparation programs; familiar with ATX is a Plus.
Must be able to prepare extensions and calculate any tax payments that could be required.
Must be able to prepare estimated tax payments for the following year.
Must be able to communicate clearly with clients regarding tax return information and status
Must be able to do tax research regarding IRC sections and regulations
Perform other duties as necessary
Should have 4 - 6 years of experience working in a CPA firm, or Busy Tax Office, and worked through a minimum of 4 tax seasons including all related extension periods.
Job Type: This is a Full Time, Year-Round position Compensation: Salary plus Bonus
