We are a CPA firm established in Coral Gables, FL. Our client base includes construction and real estate, aviation, auto dealerships, retail & wholesalers, professional services, international investors & entrepreneurs, and high net worth individuals. We are looking for an experienced senior associate who is ready to step outside of the normal accounting firm box. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Tax Preparation and Review. Communicate with clients to gather tax organizers and any missing information needed to complete tax preparation. Assist clients in cleaning up bookkeeping records to complete business tax returns. Prepare individual income tax returns (1040) and business income tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041). Review individual and business income tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance. Mentors and supports team members to enhance performance. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be able to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills Strong Excel skills Must be willing to work extra hours during tax seasons as needed to meet tax deadlines Excellent communication skills to convey technical information clearly to clients. Education & Experience
Minimum of bachelor's degree in accounting Minimum 3 years of experience in the public accounting and tax industry Minimum 3 years of experience preparing individual (1040) federal and state tax returns Minimum 3 years of experience preparing business (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041) tax returns EA or CPA preferred; must be willing to work towards obtaining EA or CPA status. Preferred Additional certifications or coursework related to advanced tax strategies or financial management. Preferred Experience with Practice CS and/or UltraTax is a plus. Preferred
